Commercial project · Doddington, Lincolnshire

Energy assessment, site testing and final certification.

Barlings KWA provided SBEM calculations, air tightness testing and the commercial EPC for The Wild House at Doddington Hall. Our work brought together the building’s energy assessment and measured airtightness, from shell-stage testing through to the final as-built information.

Our assessment scope

Bringing the fabric and building services together.

The SBEM assessment included the insulated building fabric and glazing, heat-pump heating, heat-recovery ventilation, lighting and solar PV. We carried out air testing at shell stage and again at completion, then prepared the final assessment using the as-built information.

A+ commercial EPC

The completed building achieved an A+ EPC rating. The certificate was issued on 5 June 2026.

Measured airtightness

The completion test on 21 February 2026 recorded an average of 0.546 air changes per hour at 50 Pa.

As-built BRUKL report

The final assessment showed calculated carbon emissions and primary energy rates below their respective Part L targets.
