Helping you demonstrate compliance with Part O & CIBSE TM59

At Barlings KWA, we provide professional TM59 overheating assessments for new dwellings, across Lincolnshire and the UK.

Using advanced dynamic thermal modelling software, we assess whether a dwelling is likely to overheat during warm weather and provide practical recommendations to help ensure compliance with Building Regulations Part O and planning requirements.

Whether you are an architect, developer, builder, or homeowner, we can help you navigate the process and achieve compliance first time.

What is a TM59 Assessment?

A TM59 assessment is a recognised overheating risk assessment method developed by CIBSE (The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers).

It is used to determine whether residential properties are at risk of overheating during summer conditions.

TM59 assessments are often required for:

  • Planning applications
  • New build dwellings

The assessment uses dynamic simulation modelling (DSM) to test internal temperatures against recognised overheating criteria.
